Ngā Tauira Māori
Tū ake ana ki runga o tōku taumata i Waipapa
Ka tūngau au ka titiro ki ngā wai-tukukiri rangatira o Te Waitemata
E rere atu ana ki Te Moana-Nui-ā-Kiwa
Ke rere taku titiro ki ngā wai whakateretere o
Waipapa.
Kā ū, kā tau ki Ōrākei ki a Tuperiri, Mana Whenua, Mana Tangata inā ko Ngāti Whātua e!
E ngā reo, e ngā mana, e ngā mātāwaka, kei ngā tai o te motu, tēnā koutou katoa.
E tangi ana ki ngā mate huhua kua unuhia rawatia e aitua—haere, haere, okioki atu rā.
No reira, rātou ki a rātou, tātou ki a tātou, tēnā anō tātou katoa.
Ngā Tauira Māori o Waipapa Taumata Rau stands proudly as the Māori Students’ Association of the University of Auckland. Guided by kaupapa Māori, we are dedicated to empowering and uplifting our tauira as they forge their paths across all fields of aspiration. Our commitment is woven through pillars of social, academic, sport & health, and cultural support, with a steadfast focus on nurturing the vibrancy of tikanga and Te Reo Māori within our university community. We endeavour not only to champion Māori excellence in academia, but also to foster a deep awareness of the wider world, grounded in the strength of our identity as tangata whenua. Through every opportunity, we seek to inspire our tauira to lead with confidence, pride, and a profound understanding of who they are and the legacy they carry.
